Dishonesty foundNo

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Alexander M Gibbons guilty of misconduct for attempting to mislead the Law Society by sending letters purporting to be from an assistant solicitor, failing to respond to correspondence, and failing to comply with a committee direction to pay €500 towards costs. The matter was referred to the President of the High Court, who on 24 June 2013 ordered that the solicitor be struck off the Roll of Solicitors and pay the Society's costs. Although the misconduct involved attempting to mislead the Society, the tribunal did not make an express finding of dishonesty.
