<p>In October 2012 Mr Van Aalst asked his instructing solicitor to sign a costs agreement that was backdated to October 2010 and which he also asked the complainant, his client, to sign. Mr Van Aalst then relied on this costs agreement before the Court to advance his application for a lump sum costs order, as though the costs agreement had been signed in October 2010.</p> — Unsatisfactory Professional Conduct
